Fortunately the pre-approved credit card applications are not being sent out as abundantly as they previously were. My minor sons received several over the past few years and they were unemployed except for lawn maintenance at our rental properties! My guess is that high school and college graduates are still the target of credit card marketers. It would be unfortunate for recent graduates to enter their new life with the outrageous interest rates many cards charge after the zero or low interest rates end. Having teenagers that are not quite college age my kids relate to websites designed with them in mind more than just some more advice from mom! To quote Mark Twain
“When I was a boy of 14 my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21 I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
Hmmm. 21 is it?
