Camille Gaines helps women take action so that they can grow their money, while living a purposeful and congruent life that they love, with style. She has almost three decades of firsthand experience that provide a solid foundation for helping other women achieve financial freedom through her powerful and enriching programs at FinancialWoman.com.
Camille’s first book, Earn, Grow, Give; Simple Steps to Creating a Rich Life, reached Amazon Best-Seller status after being released in 2011. Her works are also featured in a second book, Smart Women Live Their Why, highlighting successful entrepreneurial women. Camille can be found in numerous media outlets, including Nationwide magazine, Ladies Home Journal, and WHOA magazine as the regular financial columnist.
A background in energy trading accounting, financial training, and commercial real estate laid the foundation for Camille’s own journey as a financially empowered woman. She bought her own home by age 25 on a small salary using the “savvy smart” cash flow formula she teaches. Two years later she had put away enough money through timely investing in the stock market to venture into her dream job while being her own boss.
Since those days, Camille has personally invested at all different levels, in almost every type of financial product and worked with numerous financial professionals, giving her the ability to easily guide others through the maze of financial services and products to understand their options, for those who want to choose their own investments or work with a financial advisor. What sets Camille apart from many others offering financial education is that her experience has been on the investor side of the table, not selling wealth management products or advisory services; this allows her to have a completely unbiased and refreshing perspective that puts others at ease.
Camille’s passion for investing began when she saw her father successfully time the purchase of tax free municipal bonds selling at deep discounts in the early 1980’s. Those bonds greatly appreciated and paid tax free interest in excess of 20% over the next decade, allowing her father to take an early retirement and enhancing her parent’s lifestyle. Her mother, who Camille lovingly refers to the “original cash flow queen”, modeled sound money management principles while creating a high quality lifestyle for her family.
Following those early lessons, Camille lives her “savvy smart” philosophy by finding value everywhere, from undervalued investments to designer jewelry online. While many may avoid financial topics, she asks what cannot be fun about growing your money when it provides so much, including food and shelter; it provides the ability to change lives. Camille loves sharing what she has learned about money and investing to help others live a rich life.
